MISSION
Our mission is to break the vicious cycle of poverty and inequality by promoting education for the most vulnerable children and young people in developing countries. We specifically focus on communities, where poverty prevails and access to clean water, sanitation, healthcare, and education is limited. We believe that education is one of the most powerful tools to combat poverty and enable children to build a better future for themselves and the communities in which they live.
ABOUT US AND OUR MISSION
Stichting Katooke was founded on July 31, 2023, with a profound commitment to improving the accessibility and quality of education in developing countries. Dick's journey began in 2016 when he started engaging in several small-scale projects in Uganda. Later, Evert joined to support and contribute ideas.
During this time, we have had the privilege of experiencing how our efforts have garnered increasing sympathy and support from all corners of the world. The generosity of people worldwide has inspired us and enabled us to continue our mission.
To ensure the sustainability and continuity of our efforts, we decided to consolidate our activities in the form of a foundation.
